The White House is a Jersey Shore tradition! Great location in a quiet neighborhood with a view that can't be beat! The porch is a great gathering place every morning and evening. All of the rooms have their own character and charm, with comfy beds and ocean breezes. The lobby/common areas are eclectic and full of charm. The kitchen is amazing, with plenty of personal space to keep your own goodies. The owners are caring, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about the local area, and are always willing to help out and find fun things to do, and great places to eat. Huge thumbs up!

I have been going to the White House for the past 43 years. It is the last of a dying era, when the Jersey Shore was attainable and affordable to everyone, not just those who could afford McMansions. The White House is a beautiful mansion built in the late 1800s which was converted to a hotel around 100 years ago. The current owner's parent's acquired the hotel in 1962, and it has been run by the same family this entire time. The beautiful living room recalls days gone by, and the majestic ocean facing porch harbors a breeze almost all the time. The house doesn't have AC; you will need a fan, but despite that is comfortable most of the time. The seasonal guests tend to be quiet and friendly, and the large side patio provides multiple grills for public and private barbeques. If you want to relive the Jersey Shore the way it was long ago or see for yourself what it was like, this is your place. It is a home away from home and will stay with you long after you leave.
This is a great summer seasonal rental lodging with friendly, helpful ownership and lovely accommodations so close to the Belmar beach! I would recommend it for anyone looking for a place for the entire season. They do not rent by the day or week though.
